Travelers must receive their Yellow Fever vaccine at least 10 days prior to their departure date, as the certificate (International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis) starts effective 10 days after the date of Yellow Fever vaccine administration and is valid for 10 years (example if a person receives Yellow Fever vaccine on January 1, 2012, the validity of the certificate starts from January 11,2012 and remains valid till january 11, 2022).
